News & Stories

At TAS, we believe that every dollar we spend is an opportunity to create positive change. That’s why we’ve developed a new B Corp and Impact Vendor Directory—a resource designed to help TAS staff and others in the real estate industry make procurement decisions that align with their values.

This directory features Certified B Corporations (B Corps) and other mission-driven businesses that meet high social and environmental standards. By partnering with these companies, we’re not just acquiring services; we’re investing in a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient economy.

Why This Matters

As a Certified B Corporation, TAS is committed to embedding impact into every part of our business—including how we procure services and materials. Through our Social Procurement Program, we ensure that our spending power:
Supports businesses that prioritize sustainability and social impact
Creates workforce development opportunities for marginalized groups
Strengthens local economies, particularly in the neighborhoods where we build

Who’s in the Directory?

This resource includes B Corps and other mission-driven businesses across multiple sectors, including:

🏗 Construction & Skilled Trades – General contractors like Chandos Construction and modular builders like NUQO Modular

🌱 Sustainability & GHG Consulting – Experts like Morrison Hershfield and Recollective Consulting

💡 Building Materials & Interiors – Suppliers like Goodee and Aaline, who prioritize sustainabilty

🍽 Food & Catering – A curated list of social enterprises and diverse-owned businesses offering catering services in Toronto

A Tool for the Real Estate Industry

Recognizing that other real estate companies, developers, and construction firms are also striving to integrate impact into their operations, we’re making this directory publicly available.

If you know of a business that should be included, or want to suggest a vendor we should explore, please reach out to us at impact@tasimpact.ca. We also welcome conversations with anyone interested in learning more about our social procurement efforts or sharing ideas.
