News & Stories

TAS is collaborating closely with the Walmer Road Baptist Church, its congregation and the local community to shape the redevelopment for a church that sits at the heart of the Annex neighbourhood in Toronto. You can learn more about the project here

We’re currently in listening and sharing mode – trying to learn as much as we can about how folks experience the local neighbourhood today, and how our project could help make it even better for tomorrow.

This November, we’re hosting some fun ways to get involved, learn about the project and share your thoughts. Everyone is welcome to join these free events.

Check Out the Dis/Play Art Installation

Local artist Ophira Calof (she/they) and their team, in partnership with the ReelAbilities Film Festival of Toronto and ArtworxTO, will project a multi-media installation called Dis/Play onto the exterior walls of the Walmer Church. This installation will shine light on people with disabilities by telling their own stories about visibility and invisibility.

Gather with us to view the project from November 12 to 15, with showings at 7:15, 8:00, and 8:45 PM.

Join a Guided Story Tour
